The Somali Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Daoud Aweys Jama, made a barrage of statements regarding the events in his country, including his condemnation of Israeli interference in the internal affairs of Somalia. country
In statements carried by the Somali News Agency (SOMA) on Thursday, he asserted that Israel’s recognition of the Somali breakaway region is invalid, contrary to international norms, and a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.

“Israel’s strategic endeavors have become clear to everyone, as it aims to control the Red Sea region, which is linked to a number of countries, and to control the Bab al-Mandab Strait by creating conflict through divisions within a single country or between one country and another.” Daoud Jamea added
Jameh called on the countries of the Red Sea region and the international community to firmly confront any attempts to destabilize the region’s security, praising the actual efforts of Egypt and Turkey in supporting his country’s unity and stability.
He explained that the current trend between his country, Somalia, Egypt , and Turkey is based on political and defense cooperation, with the aim of enabling Somalia to protect its unity and integrity. He added that existing partnerships with friendly countries are an important element in Somalia’s relentless pursuit to thwart attempts to create instability in the Horn of Africa region.
The Somali Information Minister’s statements come in conjunction with Somalia’s signing of defense agreements with both Egypt and Turkey. These agreements resulted in a Turkish warship docking last Wednesday at a Somali port loaded with military equipment, as well as the Somali president’s attendance at a military parade in Cairo for forces preparing to participate in the African Union mission to Somalia.
