The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that it had intercepted, during the past 24 hours, nine ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and 50 drones, all coming from Iran.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed via its official platform on the “X” website that on April 5, 2026, the UAE air defense systems dealt with 9 ballistic missiles, 1 cruise missile and 50 drones coming from Iran.
According to data from the UAE Ministry of Defense, the blatant Iranian attacks have increased with today’s attacks, reaching a total of 507 ballistic missiles , 24 cruise missiles, and 2,191 drones .
The ministry reported no new casualties or injuries in the past 24 hours, confirming that since the start of the Iranian attack, the total number of Emirati martyrs remains at two, along with one Moroccan civilian contractor working for the UAE Armed Forces. The civilian death toll stands at 10, comprising individuals from Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Palestine, India, and Egypt.
